1930Bobby Jones The third trick of Bob Jones' Grand Slam was played at the Interlachen Country
Club, Minneapolis, MN, in July. He had won the British Amateur and the British
Open. After three rounds he had a five-stroke lead in the United States Open,
thanks in part to a half-topped spoon shot which skipped across the lake to
set up a birdie 4 at the ninth hole in the second round. |
