Willie Anderson

Willie Anderson accomplished a feat at the Myopia Hunt Club in September which only the great were to approach. He won for the fourth time, the third in succession. Twenty-five years were to elapse before Bob Jones would win his fourth Open.

Forty-eight years were to pass before Ben Hogan would win his fourth Open. Anderson's score was 81-80-76-77-314. He played from the Apawamis Club in winning the last three of his four championships.
