1952Julius Boros Julius Boros, of the Mid Pines Club, N.C., who had been a professional only
tow and a half years, interrupted the spell Hogan was casting over the Championship.
An early starter in the final two rounds, he completed a 71-71-68-71-281, one
over par, at the Northwood Club, Dallas, Texas. Hogan started with two 69s to
tie the 36-hole record of 138, but he closed with two 74s on a very hot day. |
